For many people, addiction recovery is a daily practice. They attend support group meetings regularly, receive therapies, take medications, and much more to keep their commitment to live sober and substance-free.

Some people use outpatient center services to keep them focused on their recovery goals, and Summit Behavioral Health: Union is happy to help to partner with them on perhaps one of the most important decisions of their lives. We are an outpatient recovery center in Union, New Jersey, and proud to be part of Delphi Behavioral Health Group, a leading substance treatment provider with facilities throughout the United States.

We abide by a patient-first philosophy as we help treat clients at any stage of their recovery. Clients with substance use disorders come here to participate in an intensive outpatient program or a standard outpatient treatment.

Summit Behavioral Health: Union is located in Union, New Jersey, a suburban community that is a short drive from New York City. We are located in a place where people from New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and other surrounding areas can access our services. We are also one of four facilities in the area that offer outpatient services in the Delphi network.

At Summit Behavioral Health: Union, We Offer:

Standard intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) and outpatient treatment (OP): Outpatient treatment is ideal for people who have recently exited higher levels of care and need to continue therapies while taking care of daily responsibilities. It is also for people who need extra support as they transition to full-time independent living or want to avoid relapse. Outpatient services offer the same quality of treatment as that offered in inpatient or residential treatment but without the expenses of an extended on-site stay.

Our intensive program requires clients to receive nine or more hours of weekly therapy and other treatment services. Some of our clients receive as much as 12 hours of therapy daily. Clients who are in our outpatient program receive fewer than nine hours of treatment during the week.

Outpatient clients are required to meet all of their scheduled commitments at our facility. We offer individualized plans to address their needs at the stage they are in, and we use evidence-based practices to help them to work through challenges that are related to their substance use. We also offer relapse prevention education to help keep you safe as you encounter challenges that arise in daily life.

Our goal is to facilitate long-lasting recovery for our clients, giving them the tools and strategies that fit their unique situation to help them protect their sobriety.

We also provide the following:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Trauma Therapy
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR)
  • Family Therapy
  • Art and Music Therapy
  • Yoga and Meditation
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Dual Diagnosis
  • Case Management

We do not use a one-size-fits-all approach to addiction treatment. Instead, we pair you with a therapist who can assess your needs and situation and then choose therapies for your treatment plan that best serve you. A therapist may recommend that you join therapies in an individual, group, and family therapy setting. It is also common to undergo behavioral therapies to address behavioral issues.
